Text Box: Choosing your own diving equipment When you are on a Diversity led programme or course, all the equipment is included. It isn’t long though before you find that having some equipment of your own makes diving more comfortable and enjoyable. Most people find that having their own mask, fins and snorkel and perhaps neoprene boots makes learning more comfortable. If you are going away, diving holiday companies can arrange equipment hire for you through your resort. Later on in your diving career and especially if you start diving with friends, it’s normal to move on to having your own BCD, regulators, cylinders, exposure suit (wetsuit or drysuit) and perhaps a dive computer. The Diversity team are happy to help you with understanding the choices and considerations around hiring or buying equipment. Diversity are also able to supply scuba diving equipment from Cressi Sub, a leading Italian manufacturer of diving and snorkelling equipment. When you are learning with us, you will often be using equipment from Cressi.
